Avery is 17 years old and attends Suffield High School as a senior. Avery was born in Hartford but he lives in Suffield. “Growing up around a lot of hard workers, it kind of rubbed off on me…” says Avery, “It shaped who I am.” 

Avery likes to fish and he enjoys playing baseball for Suffield High School. “Fishing has always been a mental escape” Avery says, the feeling of catching a fish gives him an “exhilarating thrill.”Avery’s favorite subject is science. 

Avery has been playing sports his entire life. He took this class in order to continue his interest in writing articles and covering events. Avery says “I want to understand why athletes do the things they do.”

Avery plans on attending a four year college and then becoming a teacher. “I want to teach to elementary school kids because it is the most impressionable years of their lives and they need a role model.”
