Amelia Hosack, Reporter
Amelia is a 17 year old senior at Suffield High School who’s known for her adventurous spirit and curiosity. Born in Provo, Utah, she grew up surrounded by the mountains in the wide open skies of the West which she says shaped who she is today. When her family moved to Granby she discovered to love New England too, but the “west has always been my favorite,” Amelia says.
Amelia loves the outdoors like camping, hiking, and being part of the Boy Scouts. She also plays instruments and wrestles on her school team. “I can turn any car into a full on concert” Amelia says. She finds joy in music and challenges: “Adventure, music, and challenge keeps me moving forward.”
Her passion for journalism comes from her love of asking questions and uncovering stories. Inspired by her uncle, she hopes to follow the same hobby as him with journalism.
“I love figuring out things and seeing the story no one else sees.”
After high school, Amelia plans on attending Stony Brook University in Long Island to study social work to work with kids. She’s also excited to travel try new foods and see the world.
Amelia’s story is just beginning and wherever life takes her, she carries both the adventurous West and the roots of New England within her.
