Jacob Millard is a 17 year old senior, currently in his first journalism class. He was born in Suffield and grew up there his entire life. He recounts how growing up here has allowed him to meet and make friends with many people.

“I’m friends with just about everyone in our grade just because of the amount of time I’ve been able to spend and be in classes with people.”

Jacob spends his free time walking his dog Gordie and playing hockey. He is on his high school hockey team and plays some sort of hockey year round. He is also an avid football fan. 

“I like watching football. I can’t play it but I can watch it pretty good.”

Jacob has no journalism experience outright but is very interested in reading articles about sports. He frequently reads articles on ESPN or 24/7 Sports. 

“I joined this class because I enjoy reading those articles and I love talking about sports.” 

After high school, Jacob plans to go to college in South Carolina. He wants to go to Clemson to study pharmaceuticals.

“I want to go to Clemson and I’m going to get a bachelors in pre-pharmacy and get a masters in pharmacy.”
